DCTV Bulletin Video Board Submission

DCTV Video Bulletin Board Guidelines


The DCTV Video Bulletin Board is a free service for communicating directly with DC cable television viewers. It is telecast on Comcast channels 95-96 and RCN channels 10 & 11 between the hours of 11:00 am— 11:00 pm seven days a week. Please read the guidelines below before creating your message.

1. Anyone or any organization may submit messages to the Video Bulletin Board.

2. Submit message at least 10 days before you want it telecast on DCTV.

3. Messages may be telecast from one week to up to two months.

4. Be very brief, with only the most important info (when, where, contacts).

5. No commercial advertising.

6. No direct appeals for funds. Charitable events may be promoted, including when, where and contact info. Ticket prices may not be given.

7. DCTV reserves its right as producer of the Video Bulletin Board to reject or edit any message that does not conform to its guidelines or for reasons of content or length.

8. Anyone submitting an unauthorized message by misrepresenting anyone or any organization will be permanently barred from using the Video Bulletin Board and may be permanently barred from DCTV membership privileges. DCTV takes no responsibility for unauthorized messages that appear on the Video Bulletin Board and shall be held harmless in such cases.

After taking DCTV 101, members must take this 8 week course before reserving any DCTV equipment or facilities.
The basics of putting a show together which includes planning, editing, studio, field, scheduling, interviewing, scriptwriting, camera, and more.

Cost: $100 for members
($120 for out-of-state)
