On Saturday, August 21st, the Youth Training Institute at DCTV held it’s 6th Annual Youth Video
Festival and Awards Showcase at the Historical Society of Washington.

The crowd was entertained by DC’s own progressive
hip hop artist, Christylez, and received encouraging words from local musician/filmmaker, SmCity.
Dozens of family and friends of young producers came out to encourage and support the positive
creative efforts of youth in the DC community using visual media as a tool for education, advocacy,
creative expression and education.
After an afternoon of excitement,
entertainment and goodies, participants were surprised to receive awards for their accomplishments
in media.
Congratulations again to all of this year’s award recipients.
