NEW FACES IN CINEMA - THE SERIES

PREMIERING SUNDAY MARCH 6th, 2011

Blacks Without Borders

Filmmaker: STAFFORD & JUDY BAILEY
Film: BLACKS WITHOUT BORDERS: chasing the American dream in South Africa

BLACKS WITHOUT BORDERS is a film following a group of African Americans who went to South Africa to find the American dream.  Along the way they discovered that America was not the only land of opportunity, and boundaries that many of them faced in the US didn't exist in South Africa. The film shows a side to South Africa western media tends to ignore.

New Faces in Cinema is an exciting new series that will showcase the documentaries of independent filmmakers.

The goal of the series is to create a forum for documentaries that specifically address contemporary issues facing us today. The documentaries featured represent the best in bold storytelling, and discuss major issues affecting our communities. The series will go beyond broadcast to create local and national conversations using townhall meetings, live streaming and social media. New Faces in Cinema debuts this month!
